My husband Jack and I knew that we needed to buy something to keep the sun off of ourselves during the summertime. We went out and bought some brand new outdoor shades when they were being offered on sale for a good price. We had not expected to love our new shades so much. We have found that we are so much more comfortable now that we have these nice shades. We are very happy that we decided to buy them.

Then Henry Ford decided he didn’t want to make cars for rich people and he sold the division to GM.

Then he saw how profitable Cadillac was and he changed his mind. He bought Lincoln to make luxury cars, and FoMoCo has been playing catch-up in that market segment ever since.

With all of GM’s platform engineering, it would be impossible for any brand to survive if they did not remain united. No other established carmaker would dare to try to buy a GM division (look what happened to Saab) and try to reinvent it in their image.

GM has been around for a century and their brands cannot survive independently. If there were no bailouts, there would be no Corvettes. It’s as simple as that.

Oh, and plenty of people DO want to buy GM products and not just as an alternative to Japanese vehicles which were unavailable at their local dealers. I don’t see Honda or Toyota offering an alternative to an Escalade, Camaro, or Sierra HD.

If you’re a fan of the beach, there’s no better place for you to eat at than the Ocean Drive – riddled with restaurants, though a bit pricey. Ok, maybe not just a bit, but the food is well worth it. If you’re into something different, let your nose guide you through the city, you’ll end up pleasantly surprised.
